Location

The Supreme Joint War College is located in the army camp “BRIGADIER
LASKARIDES CONSTANTINOS”, at the southeast part of the city of Thessaloniki.

The construction of the building began in 1911, during the Turkish Rule, to
house the “New Agriculture School”.

The building is neoclassical in style and is considered a characteristic
example of the “European Eclecticism” architecture. The Layout is H-shaped, with a
semi-basement, ground floor and first floor.

The architectural design of the building cannot be confidently attributed to a
known architect, yet it resembles the architectural design of the Italian Vitaliano
Poselli, thus advocating the building’s design being attributed to him. Construction
had not yet been completed by 1927 and, once completed, it was used by military
authorities.

The College’s training installations include a library, hall of honor, an
auditorium, classrooms, an computer room and sports facilities.
